I HEAR

When I think of the city

I hear

People shouting everywhere.

Inhabitants ride their bike and ring their bells.

I hear families eating food in the restaurant.

Cars make very loud sounds like a big train.

People talking while walking down the road.

Humans splash water like rain falling down.

Trucks make massive loud honking

People are calling their phones making a soft bell sound.

As if it had never ceased to be

But only needed listening to

An adult reading, floating free.

The Glass House

There was a glass house but it lights up when it’s dark, it looks like a shop and it was built there because it needs to be in a dark place. Then a girl name Sarah hated it because it was see through but then she got used to it.  But then Sarah wanted to make her house into a shop, so she went to the supermarket to get food and jar. When she got her stuff she made her house into a shop.

After that, Sarah made her house into a shop and it didn’t look like her house, then some    
people were there. Sarah was looking for another house then she picked her house but she
needs someone to be in her shop so Sarah can stay at her house since it was morning. She saw
someone at the front door of the shop the person was standing their Sarah said then the person
said hi then the person wanted to work at Sarah’s shop then Sarah said sure then Sarah said make
sure you look after this place then the person said okay I will . Then Sarah went to her new home
she loved her new home then she would never go back to her shop.  

Swimming Lessons

Today was the last day of swimming, since it was the last day we had to wear life - jacket. The first thing we've done was safe entry to the pool and we started chaining our self to our people, when we chained ourself we had to put our feet under and your hands around your buddy. After we did another thing called huddle and the huddle means the same thing but in a circle. Next we had to touch the ground of the swimming pool but some of the teacher made us duck down. I feel sad because we can not go swimming till next year on term 4.

Word Cline - Big

Today my class and I did a word cline. We needed to chose words that we didn't do for the word cline.

I or Me

Today the class and I were doing I or me sentences and we had to get all of the right answers on the spaces that were blank after we got all of the answers right we had to put it on our blog and on our blog we had to make sentences of our own.

5 - 7 - 10 Battle of the Storm Troopers

Once there was a battle. It was hard for them because they tried to escape but there was a lot
of shooting. The storm troopers were bad and they were flying in their spaceships.
There was even fire in the buildings and they had to keep on shooting until the battle was
finished.

There were lots of machines in the sky to shoot the other side and they followed them.
The stormtroopers shot at them with lazers guns and then the storm troopers machine broke
down and it fell down to the ground. 

Zoo Recount

Zoo Recount

Yes! I was excited because my class and the other class was going to the zoo.

At the zoo we saw the red panda and its baby was sitting on the tree. Then we went to Australia side and we saw Tasmanian devil, Wallabies and the Macaws. Then we went to South America side there were Tarantula, spider monkeys, Golden tamarins, Siamang gibbons, alligators and otters. In New Zealand there were kiwis, tuatara and the eels. 

After that we saw lions, zebras, rhinos, giraffas, ostrich, meerkats and porcupine. We all meet up at the playground. After that Hohepa the person who works at the zoo. Hohepa took us to see the baboons. Then he took us to the cheetahs and he showed us a cheetahs pelt and it’s claw. Then we went to two elephant the two elephant we called Bruma and Anjali. They were inside and throwing bark on their body because they needed to protect their body from bug and the sun. Then Hohepa showed us an elephant tusk that was carved and it was glass so we had to hold it with two hands. 

After we learnt all the animals we went to see the lions, zebras, giraffes, ostriches, meerkats and porcupine and then we all met up in the playground. 

I learnt a lot of stuff about cheetahs, elephants and baboons want to go back to the zoo someday with my family and friends.

The Magic Ride

I went on a magic ride with my friend at the park. Her name was Tuku when we went
clockwise on the magic ride we ended up at a different park. It felt like the world
was moving, and it was. It was also blurry we tried to get back to the place we were
before but we couldn't. We tried it lots of times, but it did not work. 

We decided to try it one more time, and it worked because we went anti-clockwise, and
we made it back to the park we were in before. When we made it back to the park we
were hungry. So when we thought about food we ended up at the donuts shop, and we
wrote a secret at the donut shop about the magic ride. Then we got tired and we ended
up at home in our bed because we both thought about that place. The problem is why do
we end up in a different place when we think about that place? 

I know why because that’s what happens when you go on the magic

Hi, it's me - Nicola. I am writing about the art I have done. The day was actually last Thursday. I was at my desk, because not only do I like writing, it is part of school! I like writing because I get to use a pen or pencil, and I like to try and make my writing look neat and easy to read! In this picture I was using a pencil when I should have been using a pen. Oops!

In this picture I'm reporting about Japan. In Japan they had a very sad day because they first had an earthquake and then that was followed by a tsunami. That was very deadly. It was very scary because they gave us a warning on TV. Then my whole family and me had a sit down and talk about what we had to do, when we had to do it, like when we should evacuate our house and get into our cars as soon as possible, if it happened here in Tamaki.
