Kapahaka Pt 5 - by Paenganui
Kapahaka Pt.5 from TheseKidsRock! on Vimeo.
I felt like a Maori chief when I was leading the haka. My responsibility was that I had to get my timing right for when I start my words for the haka. When I got the bit for me to say the haka words, I was the only one that put my hand up. It took a lot of practice for me to get the haka right. Our Maori Teacher Whaea Raewyn was the one who had to get everything ready. I really appreciate what she did for us - thank you.

Kapahaka Pt 4 By Kane
Kapahaka Pt.4 from TheseKidsRock! on Vimeo.
On Friday 18th the Kapahaka group did a practice in front of Room 6 and we gave it our all. Some of the group was frightened to do it for the first time in front of an audience. They was just staring at us and Miss Day and Tienera were filming us. When Paenganui used his loud voice for the Haka, I think Miss Day was frightened and some of Room 6 was too. I think some of Room 6 jumped up from where they were sitting. At the end of the performance everyone was clapping for the group, and then we did it again but with more excitement. It was awesome.

Happy Hydrosliders! By Chevy.
On Monday 28th February Rooms 6/7/5/and 8 went to the Panmure Pools. We got to go on the hydroslide. It was a teriffic day. We had an awesome time - there were screaming people, just because they were excited. In this video there are people going down the hydroslide, showing their confidence by going down. The best part when we were waiting was we saw people just standing there being very patient. It was an awesome day...
P.S if you watch this you may see yourself having an exciting last day of swimming!

Kapahaka Pt.1 from TheseKidsRock! on Vimeo.
In this video you will see some of the amazing performing from the Kapahaka group. I think you know some of these people from last year's group. In this video the Kapahaka gruop have been working very hard. When I watched them I felt like I was visiting a Maori Marae. I think that they're going to do well on Sunday the 27th for their International Rotary Club performance. I hope that you enjoy watching this video.

The Results by Teagan
This is what faces look like when they're confused. My name's Teagan, and I'm a little bit confused too because one person is getting 4 medals at our School Swimming Sports. Leila got 4 golds and was very happy. I didn't get any medals but I tried. Tyla got 4 golds and one silver. All the people who got medals were concentrating and focused ready to win. People had red noses from the cold water like me, and some people's teeth were shaking and shivering. I had fun though!

Hall of Fame by Suliasi

Cola is an international coach for little league baseball, so I wonder what is he doing at a primary school? Maybe he saw our baseball skills and wanted to show us better and badder skills... like the right way to hold a bat like the professionals do and show us how to make sure you catch the ball properly?

Sleep - Finally!! By Stefanie
This is Tyla sleeping away on the bus because she was tired from a long day at the beach. We all had lots of fun. When we went on the bus home, Miss Day said that we had to play sleeping tigers, so Tyla slept like a baby having nice dreams! Sweet dreams Tyla!!!!!

Eek! Our Teacher is a Monster! by Miss Day
Thankfully, my class are much better artists than I am, and have produced some amazing work. Two pieces that have impressed me are Nicola's pencil sketch of herself and Puke's self-portrait dyed face. Keep up the great work, Room 6!
Look out in the coming weeks for other Room 6 artists showing off their self-portrait posters on our blog.

In this photo I had been offered to have a photo with Cola. He is a guy who coaches a real baseball team. Our school is very lucky because a real live coach has been teaching us how to play baseball!

Slepping Tigers - by Tienira

On our way back to school from the school picnic, Room 6 and 5 had a competition to see which class is the best at sleeping tigers. I was sleeping with my mouth open and some people in Room 5 were talking at the back. Some of the Room 6 people at the front of the bus had their mouths wide open until we were back at school!

Grumpy Riley by Tyla
This is a photo of me smiling and Hope's sister Riley frowning at our school picnic. We were taking a walk on the sandy Eastern beach when we ran into Miss Day. Riley grunted to Miss Day under her breath and frowned at the camera. In the first photo Riley looked away. In the second photo she grunted. In the third photo she frowned into the camera.

The Village of Shells - by Quaid

After that we had lunch and went for a swim. Then we finally played a treasure hunt game. We had to find one rock, shell, seaweed, driftwood and feather. After we all gathered our stuff, we went on the bus and played sleeping tigers until we got back to school. I thought this was a superb day to relax.

On Thursday 24th February, Panmure Bridge School all went to Eastern beach. I was playing a teriffic game. There was volleyball, cricket, treasure hunt, tiggie and swimming. In this photo we are playing volleyball. There was "crashing" and "bashing" the ball because it was a huge tennis ball.

Our Bright Class Photo! By Leila
This is our class photo. We went outside to take our photo. When the teacher took our class photo
some people were blocking their eyes. The brightness of the light came shining in our eyes. When Miss Day counted to three I quickly took my hand away from my face.
