The Panmure Bridge School Ad Campaign for the 2019 Manaiakalani Film Festival was an idea to promote the kind of learning we do here at Panmure Bridge School and also within the Manaiakalani Cluster of schools. We took interesting ads and remade them under a Manaiakalani - Learn, Create, Share theme.

Reciprocal Reading - Dangerous Cargo

Today my group was doing reciprocal reading and in reciprocal teaching one of us had to be the teacher and the book that we were reading was the Dangerous cargo and it was a good book too. What we had to do was one of us had to be a teacher and the first teacher was Ms Kirkpatrick and it was fun.

There was a glass house but it lights up when it’s dark, it looks like a shop and it was built there because it needs to be in a dark place. Then a girl name Sarah hated it because it was see through but then she got used to it.  But then Sarah wanted to make her house into a shop, so she went to the supermarket to get food and jar. When she got her stuff she made her house into a shop.

After that, Sarah made her house into a shop and it didn’t look like her house, then some    
people were there. Sarah was looking for another house then she picked her house but she
needs someone to be in her shop so Sarah can stay at her house since it was morning. She saw
someone at the front door of the shop the person was standing their Sarah said then the person
said hi then the person wanted to work at Sarah’s shop then Sarah said sure then Sarah said make
sure you look after this place then the person said okay I will . Then Sarah went to her new home
she loved her new home then she would never go back to her shop.  

Read Theory

I think that I improved my reading skills on read theory because I am getting better and better at my reading skills. Every time my grades gets harder and harder and I try my best.and this is my scoreboard on read theory. Sometimes I get 100% on read theory,and sometimes I get 50%.

Swimming Lessons

Today was the last day of swimming, since it was the last day we had to wear life - jacket. The first thing we've done was safe entry to the pool and we started chaining our self to our people, when we chained ourself we had to put our feet under and your hands around your buddy. After we did another thing called huddle and the huddle means the same thing but in a circle. Next we had to touch the ground of the swimming pool but some of the teacher made us duck down. I feel sad because we can not go swimming till next year on term 4.

Today we did Xtar Maths it was fun we had to go on subtration and it was hard to go on it.

Today we had to solve a maths sheet with our partner. The maths problem was called target number.

Auckland Zoo

Last term my class and I went to the Auckland zoo. We me lots of animals and they were so noise.

Pockets

Today in class we did pockets. So first we had to draw what is in our pocket and then we had to do our  back round I did light blue and colour in our shapes and put it on our blog.

Today the class and I were doing I or me sentences and we had to get all of the right answers on the spaces that were blank after we got all of the answers right we had to put it on our blog and on our blog we had to make sentences of our own.

5 - 7 - 10 Battle of the Storm Troopers

Once there was a battle. It was hard for them because they tried to escape but there was a lot
of shooting. The storm troopers were bad and they were flying in their spaceships.
There was even fire in the buildings and they had to keep on shooting until the battle was
finished.

There were lots of machines in the sky to shoot the other side and they followed them.
The stormtroopers shot at them with lazers guns and then the storm troopers machine broke
down and it fell down to the ground. 

Zoo Recount

Zoo Recount

Yes! I was excited because my class and the other class was going to the zoo.

At the zoo we saw the red panda and its baby was sitting on the tree. Then we went to Australia side and we saw Tasmanian devil, Wallabies and the Macaws. Then we went to South America side there were Tarantula, spider monkeys, Golden tamarins, Siamang gibbons, alligators and otters. In New Zealand there were kiwis, tuatara and the eels. 

After that we saw lions, zebras, rhinos, giraffas, ostrich, meerkats and porcupine. We all meet up at the playground. After that Hohepa the person who works at the zoo. Hohepa took us to see the baboons. Then he took us to the cheetahs and he showed us a cheetahs pelt and it’s claw. Then we went to two elephant the two elephant we called Bruma and Anjali. They were inside and throwing bark on their body because they needed to protect their body from bug and the sun. Then Hohepa showed us an elephant tusk that was carved and it was glass so we had to hold it with two hands. 

After we learnt all the animals we went to see the lions, zebras, giraffes, ostriches, meerkats and porcupine and then we all met up in the playground. 

I learnt a lot of stuff about cheetahs, elephants and baboons want to go back to the zoo someday with my family and friends.

The Magic Ride

I went on a magic ride with my friend at the park. Her name was Tuku when we went
clockwise on the magic ride we ended up at a different park. It felt like the world
was moving, and it was. It was also blurry we tried to get back to the place we were
before but we couldn't. We tried it lots of times, but it did not work. 

We decided to try it one more time, and it worked because we went anti-clockwise, and
we made it back to the park we were in before. When we made it back to the park we
were hungry. So when we thought about food we ended up at the donuts shop, and we
wrote a secret at the donut shop about the magic ride. Then we got tired and we ended
up at home in our bed because we both thought about that place. The problem is why do
we end up in a different place when we think about that place? 

I know why because that’s what happens when you go on the magic

Mind lab Trip

Today in class we did a story about our trip at M.O.T.A.T. When we were there we had to put designs and pictures and signs on, when we came in there we first did the torch activity we did in that activity how you can make the torch light up. Then we went to the other group and we did a electric car so we had to be partners of 2 and share 1 car, we had to make something cool! it was trying to make the battery pieces so it can move. After we explored more we went in the pump house and more when we went in the pump house when we went we saw a wheel and that controlled the water in the he 18s-19s but then got canceled. Then we went in the

Today I drew a model rocket on a google drawing and labeled it. This is the rocket Apollo 11.

Matariki Celebration

On Friday we celebrated Matariki. At lunch we had a sausage sizzle. Then we went to the hall and watched some performances. First was the junior Kapa Haka, then we had the Pacifica group. Next we watched a video about the story of Matariki. Then the Ukulele group sang Shotgun. Last was the Senior Kapa Haka. I was in the senior Kapa Haka and I enjoyed performing for the school.

Word Cline - Small

Today the class and I were doing a word Cline and the word Cline that I was doing was small. When we do the word Cline we had to try to make it small, smaller and smallest but the other people done a different and they must of done big or fast or the one as mine. After the we had to put it on our blog. When we putted it on our blog we had to write a sentences. 

Duffy - In into the game

On Monday we had a Duffy show. It was about Duffy goes in to the game. Duffy was going to his cousin Sams house. When Duffy got to Sam's house, Sam was playing magic bricks. Then  Then was playing with his grandmothers glasses and danced around and a blue light and Duffy was gone. Then Sam was looking for Duffy. Then Duffy shouted out Sam's name then Sam heard Duffy and got the mic and said Duffy are you in the game and Duffy said yes. Then Sam tried to get Duffy out. But then the builder came and destroy stuff that people build. Then when Duffy built a stair case and the builder destroyed the stair case. Then the device said 33 minute for Duffy to get out or he will stay in the game. Then Duffy found clues and Sam got the glasses and danced and got in the game and helped Duffy. Then when Sam got in the game she had a book in her hand. Then when Duffy and Sam was reading the book they found a way to get out and how to get out was the dumpling dance and they did the dumpling dance and they got out of the game.

Measurement Metic Length

Today we had to do a game called measuring and metric length and it was  fun to do the game. First I started again because I pressed skip and then I started again. I forgot my score but I saw a little bit of it. 

Maze Game

Today for maths we did an activity using Trial and Error. It was easy to work out the first one the first one was 9x3=27 than we did 9+8= because we were trying to get the numbers to match but we were 10 off.  The next problem was 7x3=21 then we did 7=8=15 but we were 6 off. Then we were on to the last question 4x3=12  and then we did + for 4+8=12 so the last one was correct.

Today I drew a Rocket on google drawing and it is in my 4 space learning Centre.

 In the morning my class and I went to the Hiwi the Kiwi. I learnt that you can't keep mummy fish and daddy fish because they have to make babies. I also learnt that you have to bring a wet towel but it has  to be salt water. I also learnt that you can scare away the birds with water so they don't eat the hook. When you catch a fish you put it in your salt ice and you bring a life jacket when you go fishing. My favorite thing was when we were singing kai moana and when I saw the picture of the black petrel.

Today in class I copied Mrs Minstral's dance while Mr Minstral was singing it was so much fun.

On Friday at 2:05 we had to go to the hall because we were celebrating Matariki. When we got there we saw junior Kapa Haka. Junior kapa haka started to preform. they sang songs and after they finished. Senior kapa haka started to preform they sang songs like junior kapa haka. After senior kapa haka preformed. pacifica preformed and danced. After
